I lost my Father and my brother and several dear friends to a specific, unsettling kind of violence. I love them all and miss them very much. I’ve also had more family and friends than I can count that survived very scary brushes with this kind of violence. It makes my heart hurt to know that everyone in the world is increasingly more intimate with suicide. The world needs us all in it. Now more than ever!
