This project is very special to me. I have been in love with Ween for decades! This is the second poster I made for them and like the last one, I designed it to be a visual interpretation of one of my favorite songs!

“Cold Blows the Wind” is about the pain of grief and the dangers of remaining in that grief for too long.

The song is written from the perspective of a young woman whose “one true love” has died. Her grief is so great that she cries at his grave every day for a full year, wishing for just one last kiss. He rises after that year and tells her that her grief is preventing him from moving on and when she asks for that kiss, she is told that it will cost her, her life. It ends with a list of impossible items, a nut from a dungeon, water from a stone, and milk from a woman who’s never had a baby.

It’s about dealing with loss and it’s very sad.
But it’s beautiful and I love it.

I drew the poster in a style inspired by Albrecht Durer. I hope you enjoy it!
