I am right now rereading Franz Kafka’s \"The Castle\". I first read it about 20 years ago and decided to revisit recently because I have been burning through books lately and didn’t have anything else handy when I was going to sleep one night.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis time around is so profoundly different from the last. The first time I read it , it was much more challenging, almost like William Faulkner’s work or Virginia Wolfe’s. This time however I find it really easy and extremely funny. I don’t think I was really understanding it the last time. I thought of it as a dour, unhappy slog that K was going through, but this time he seems to be enjoying this odd game theory battle with the opponents of the Castle.
