I’ve been looking at a book that shows very old Japanese woodcut illustrations. Some are part of an instruction Manuel showing how a samurai dresses in ceremonial or battle armor. The illustrations are very old, probably a few hundred years before the ukeyo-e printmaking period, which I often draw inspiration from. The line weight and design is much more bulky and hard. I like this style a lot!
I recently participated in a Cat themed fair in Denver and I made several new prints for the event. This was one of of them.
